Important Update: New Hours and Enhanced Focus on Community Health

Dear Members,

Beginning Wednesday December 17th, the YWCA of Winston Salem Forsyth County will shift to new operating hours designed to better support our growing senior population and expand programs for under-served individuals living with chronic health conditions. These changes are the result of a careful review of when our facility is most utilized and how we can best deliver services that have the greatest impact on community health.

Over the past several years, we have seen a significant increase in participation among older adults and individuals managing chronic conditions. Many of these members rely on structured daytime programs, specialized exercise support, and wellness services that improve long-term health outcomes. By adjusting our schedule, we can better align staffing, resources, and programming to meet these needs.

Our new hours will be:
- Monday through Friday, 7AM - 3PM
- Saturday, 7AM - 2PM

Our commitment to you remains unchanged. Whether you are part of our senior community, participate in our medical programs, or use our fitness center for personal wellness, we remain dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for every member of all ages.

We understand that change can be an adjustment, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we move forward. This shift positions us to strengthen our mission, broaden our impact, and continue offering high-quality services that improve the health and well being of the community.

The YWCA of Winston-Salem Forsyth County remains committed to its highly unique community programs.
- The Hawley House, the only state-licensed residential treat program for women with substance use and opioid use disorder.
- The Best Choice Learning Center, a year-round academic enrichment program for under-resourced children grades 5-8th.
- The Gateway to Success, the only integrated care model in the country for under-resourced patients with diabetes.

If you have any questions about the new schedule or how it may affect your routine, please feel free to contact us at info@ywcaws.org or speak with Greg Fagg, VP of Operations during your next visit.

Thank you for your continued support of the YWCA of Winston Salem, Forsyth County. We look forward to serving you during our new hours and to continuing our work together in promoting a healthier community.
